Family Literacy Night offers fun activities, songwriting with Rhymin' Richie
March 2, 2017
Families with children in preschool through 3rd grade are encouraged to join in the fun of Family Literacy Night at the Duanesburg Elementary School library on Wednesday, March 29, from 5-7 p.m.
Children will have a fun time reading, writing and rhyming at the event, which will feature guest musician and songwriter Richie Phillips, who will lead children in writing an original spring fever song for their school.
Duanesburg Elementary teachers will engage children in lots of fun activities, and spring-themed activity stations will be open from 5-6 p.m. Rhymin' Richie will work with the children from 6-7 p.m.
Adults must accompany children to the event. Questions may be directed to Polly Benjamin, reading teacher, at firstname.lastname@example.org or (518)895-8310, ext. 234.
