A lock on fun and fellowship
March 27, 2017
They didn't sleep, they didn't snooze and they had a great time. On Thursday, March 16, nearly 100 students from grades 9-12 participated in a lock-in event at the high school, remaining there overnight to boost morale and build friendships.
A dozen DCS staff members chaperoned the students at the lockin, which was spearheaded by Student Council co-presidents (NAMES?) and a student subcommittee.
The lockin featured a volleyball tournament, open gym, game room, air hockey, student lounge, arts and crafts and movies. Tasty concessions included a pastry bar, specialty foods and beverages plain and fancy.
"We had 98 students in attendance, and the lockin received rave reviews," said Rebecca Pless, Student Council advisor and English teacher.
