Learning digital citizenship
August 8, 2016
Sixth graders learned how to harness the power of the Internet - responsibly - by completing a Digital Citizenship unit before they left for summer break. Using materials provided through web-based Common Sense Education, students in Lisa Dennison's English/Language Arts class learned how to apply skills in critical thinking, ethical discussion and decision making when using the Internet.
"It is so important that in a digital world students understand the power, risks and benefits of online use," Dennison said.
Parents/guardians can access materials they can use to work with their children at Common Sense Education.
