H.S. traffic and roads reminders

Jan. 11, 2018

Between sports, clubs and general school activities, winter is a busy time at Duanesburg Jr./Sr. High School, and it's also a time that snow and ice make safe use of campus roadways and parking areas all the more important.

DCS would like to remind all who visit the high school campus of the following:

Due to construction, buses are still using the old bus loop in front of the main high school entrance.

For student pick up and drop off, parents/guardians should enter on Alexander Road and exit in front of old middle school building (this will eventually become the new bus loop; all will be notified prior to this change taking place).

Portions of the roadways have been widened to handle two lanes of traffic; please remain in one lane and share the road safely.

Whenever parking a vehicle, including for afterschool events, note the locations of designated spaces for people with disabilities, including areas dedicated to allow wheelchair access, and respect others and the law.

Do not block fire lanes, driveways or access roads at any time.
