Feb. 22, 2018

Members of Duanesburg High School’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter represented their school well during the organization’s spring district meeting on Feb. 6 in Latham. The students competed in various business-related events, and three of them finished in the top five.

FBLA chapter secretary and DCS senior Eleanor Felton placed 4th in computer applications. DCS sophomore Dylan Carlson placed 5th in business calculations. Senior Morgan Hoffmann placed 5th in accounting I. DCS junior Matt Gentile represented his school during the meeting.

“I’m proud of the effort our team of students put into the competition and of their professionalism during the meeting,” said Stephanie Ferlazzo, Duanesburg High School business teacher and FBLA advisor. “They are great ambassadors for their school.”

FBLA is a national association of high school students who are interested in the world of business.
