MasterMinds team at top of their game

March 5, 2018

The DCS MasterMinds team is off to their best start ever, reports team coach and English teacher Tom Reiter.

"Winning seven of their first eight matches, the squad sits atop the toughest of the five divisions in the Capital District. Having split with perennial power Bethlehem, the team's March 8 matchup with them will determine if DCS can end Bethlehem's decade long streak of division championships."

The MasterMinds division (League 4) includes Bethlehem, Duanesburg, Guilderland, Catholic Central and Lansingburgh.

Duanesburg High School junior Jacob Harris leads his team and the division in scoring, with 640 points. Senior Alison Fiorini, who competes part time due to her commitments with Mock Trial and The Wizard of Oz, has scored 70 points.

Duanesburg MasterMinds team members also include juniors Sal Gallo, Alex Lawrence, Austin Adams, Annabelle Rieseler, Sara Johnson and Sophie Loukides, and 8th grade student Chris Vogt.
