Following successful auditions, Duanesburg High School students Rachel Zeh and Paul Munson have been accepted into the Empire State Youth Orchestras (ESYO), competitive performance groups for musicians ages 9-18.

Munson, a DCS sophomore, will play percussion in the ESYO Percussion Ensemble and Repertory Orchestra. Zeh, a DCS freshman, will play flute in the EYSO Wind Ensemble.

In a letter to DCS music teacher Scott Hopkins, ESYO Executive Director Rebecca Calos said, " Empire State Youth Orchestras' audition process is competitive, and students must demonstrate clear artistic and technical skill in order to be accepted into one of our performing ensembles.

"I extend my congratulations not only to your students for their achievement, but especially to you for providing the training and experience these young musicians need to succeed. I appreciate your dedication to your students and the ongoing support and inspiration that you give them."
