Dec. 21, 2017

Duanesburg Central School District's 2017 Toys for Tots Campaign was a huge success, netting 251 toys and a monetary donation of $195 to help brighten children's holidays.

DCS staff, students, friends, families and the community participated in collecting new toys, selling fundraising Tot Tickets and accepting donations, with efforts coordinated by Lori Galea at Duanesburg Elementary School, Lori Kuhl at the high school and Karen Weiler at the bus garage.

According to the Toys for Tots website, "The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens."
