The DCS Basketball Program turned an obstacle into an opportunity this season and raised money for charity in the process. Teams could not welcome in-person fans, so they instead livestreamed games and filled the stands with cardboard cutouts. Families and friends could make donations and get pictures of their faces placed on the cutouts. The teams raised $950 to benefit St. Jude Children Research Hospital. The teams would like to thank everyone who made a donation as well as technology teacher Michael Gauthier and art teacher Kevin DiTondo, who made the cutouts. The teams extend their sincere appreciation to the community for its support.
