On July 11, 2023, voters residing within Capital Region BOCES component districts and the City School District of Albany will vote to authorize the construction of a storage building at the Career & Technical Education Center – Schoharie Campus.
Polls will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at various locations throughout the region.
BOCES is proposing to erect a five-bay, 4,500-square-foot garage that will store equipment and materials. Once the equipment from inside the building is moved to the new garage, it will allow BOCES to use the existing storage space to open a new welding program at the Schoharie CTE facility.
There would be no tax impact from building the new storage garage.
All residents who are 18 years of age or older, and who have lived within one of the Capital Region BOCES component districts or the City School District of Albany for more than 30 days are eligible to participate in this vote. Voters will be asked to provide proof of residency in the form of a driver’s license or utility bill.
Voters will cast their ballot in the county they reside in. Polling locations are below:
- Albany County polling location: Capital Region BOCES, 900 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Albany
- Saratoga County polling location: Clifton Park-Halfmoon Library, 475 Moe Road, Clifton Park
- Schenectady County polling location: Capital Region YMCA (Greater Glenville Branch), 127 Droms Road, Glenville
- Schoharie County polling location: Schoharie Town Hall, 300 Main Street, Schoharie
