DCS Robotics team competes at MVP Arena March 28 & 29

Best of luck to DCS’ Robotics team, as they compete Friday, March 28 and Saturday, March 29 at the 2025 FIRST Robotics Competition New York Tech Valley Regional at MVP Arena in downtown Albany!

DCS will be joining a field of nearly 60 teams that hail from throughout New York state and the Canadian Province of Quebec, as well as Turkiye.

Duanesburg is team #7031. They have been competing at this event since 2018. Under the direction of Robotics coach Michael Gauthier and volunteer coach George Goodman (retired engineer), team #7031 has been preparing and building their competition robot for months, spending many, many hours after school and over the weekends to prepare for this weekend’s competition.

Opening ceremonies are set for 8:30 a.m. Friday morning (3/28). The preliminary schedule shows DCS’ battles taking place Friday at 9:16 a.m., 10:52 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:04 p.m., 2:52 p.m., 4:04 p.m., and 5:40 p.m. — and Saturday at 10:10 a.m. and 10:58 a.m.
