Congratulations to DCS senior Jeffrey Mulhern on taking FIRST PLACE in Heavy Equipment Operations/Heavy Equipment Repair and Operation at the regional SkillsUSA competition held on March 19 in Albany!

Mulhern was one of 31 Capital Region BOCES Career and Technical Education (CTE) students who were given the opportunity to show their in-depth knowledge of the skilled trades and compete for a place on the SkillsUSA podium. He will now advance to compete in the state SkillsUSA competition April 23-25 which will be held at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse. Winners of that event will advance to the national competition in June.

“I am looking forward to competing at the next level and seeing how I do,” said Jeffrey Mulhern, who won first place Heavy Equipment Operations.
