The Western Athletic Conference has announced that spectators will not be allowed at athletics events for the fall sports season.
The WAC and the public health departments of Fulton, Montgomery, and Schoharie counties, have determined that fall 2020 athletics competitions will take place without spectators, a release says.
“This difficult decision was made in an effort to keep our student-athletes, their families and friends, and our coaches healthy and safe as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact the region.”
