Congrats to Hannah Mulhern on being voted by the 8th grade team as this year’s recipient of the Frontier Sno Riders Award, which recognizes a middle school student who has shown a commitment to community service and class participation.
According to her nomination, “Hannah embodies this through active class participation throughout her various courses, and is often seen helping out her classmates. She challenges herself academically and asks questions to further class discussions to enrich the learning experience both of herself and those around her.
“Hannah also serves as the 8th grade class President and participates in raising money for future class activities. As a member of Varsity soccer and basketball, she has raised money for the Wounded Warrior Project and has made and delivered Christmas cards for nursing home residents. She has shared her passion and love of basketball through volunteering on Saturdays to teach younger children about the game.
“She is also a member of Reality Check which works with the community and lawmakers about the impact of tobacco use on youths. Hannah is a caring, well-rounded, and dedicated individual to the Duanesburg community.”
Thank you for all you do, and congratulations, Hannah!
